The Winter Cup is known for being somewhat of a pre-season competition, where we expect to see many falls in past years when there was only a men’s competition. The women showed up to the weekend and left that reputation in the dust - though there were of course mistakes after not having any elite competitions in nearly a year, many gymnasts surprised us with new skills, huge routines, and big smiles for being back on the competition floor after so long.

Cameron Bock, representing the University of Michigan, took first all-around in the senior men’s division, scoring an 84.150. His win was impressive, nearly an entire point ahead of second place. He was consistent on all six events, taking second on pommel horse and parallel bars.
INDIANAPOLIS, February 28, 2021 – Jordan Chiles’ all-around score of 57.050 topped the senior women’s field at the 2021 Winter Cup held over the weekend at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Thirteen-year-old Ella Kate Parker of West Monroe, La./Cincinnati Gymnastics secured the junior women’s all-around title with a 52.350.

INDIANAPOLIS, February 27, 2021 – Piloted by all-around champion Asher Hong of Tomball, Texas/Cypress Academy of Gymnastics, Region 3 continued its Elite Team Cup dominance capturing its sixth title in as many years. Hong earned an 80.700 to lead all competitors. Fellow Junior National Team members Kai Uemura (Region 5) of Chicago, Ill./Lakeshore Academy of Art Gymnastics (77.450) and Vahe Petrosyan (Region 1) of Van Nuys, Calif./Gymnastics Olympica USA (77.250) rounded out the top 3 all-around athletes.
INDIANAPOLIS, February 27, 2021 – Jordan Chiles of Vancouver, Wash./World Champions Centre was dominant during day one of the 2021 Winter Cup senior women’s all-around competition Saturday at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. An additional six senior gymnasts are slated to compete during tomorrow’s junior session, and their scores will be combined with the results from today’s competition.

INDIANAPOLIS - Feb. 26, 2021 - Cameron Bock of Tustin, Calif./University of Michigan, topped a field of 27 competitors to claim the 2021 Winter Cup men’s all-around title Friday at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Bock, who is in his senior season with the Wolverines, earned an 84.150 and finished nearly a full point ahead of runner-up Riley Loos of El Dorado Hills, Calif/Stanford University (83.250). World bronze medalist Yul Moldauer of Arvada, Colo./5280 Gymnastics, rounded out the top three, posting an 82.600 on the night.
INDIANAPOLIS, February 26, 2021 – Leah Smith of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre, and Alicia Zhou of San Antonio, Texas/Love Gymnastics, took home the senior and junior titles, respectively, at this year’s Nastia Liukin Cup. Held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, the Nastia Liukin Cup kicked off a packed 2021 Winter Cup weekend, that also includes the Elite Team Cup.
INDIANAPOLIS, February 22, 2021 – Gymnastics will return to the national stage after a nearly yearlong hiatus, as USA Gymnastics’ 2021 premier event season kicks off this weekend in Indianapolis. The 2021 Winter Cup will take place without spectators Feb. 26-28 at the Indiana Convention Center, marking the start of a busy international competition season that includes the Tokyo Olympic Games in late summer and Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in October.

The 2021 Winter Cup takes place in Indianapolis, Indiana from February 26th-28th and is expanding this year. Previously only a men’s artistic competition, the Winter Cup now includes women’s artistic gymnastics as well, with both a junior and senior competition in each.
