Shogo Nonomura wins Stuttgart 2011 AA title. Is he the next Uchimura?

Shogo Nonomura, just 18 years old, claimed the gold medal ahead of many of the World's top gymnasts in Stuttgart at the 2011 DTB World Cup. He edged edge German star Marcel Nguyen, 88.431-88.332. Great Britain's Daniel Purvis won the bronze by totaling 87.931 after a fall on pommel horse. Nonomura was the alternate for the 2011 Japanese World team which won the silver medal led by all around Champion Kohei Uchimura. The youngster will likely contend for a place on the 2012 Japanese Olympic team. Nonomura's scores: 14.666, 13.733, 14.933, 15.533, 15.266, 14.300 AA: 88.431
