Every year American Athletic, Inc. (AAI) presents the distinguished AAI Award to the most outstanding senior female gymnast in the country. 

Of the four events in gymnastics, floor is always a crowd favorite. Of course it draws attention because of the exciting tumbling and fun choreography, but it’s also fun to hear the music that each athlete selects to compete to. There are so many songs I wish I’d hear more as floor music, but here are just ten of them. 

Oklahoma’s 2020 campaign can almost be seen as a farewell tour of sorts. It will be the final go-around for senior Maggie Nichols as she completes what has already been an amazing career.

In the inaugural Four on the Floor final of the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships, the Oklahoma Sooners won the team title and are back on top after scoring a huge 198.3375. The LSU Tigers had another runner-up finish and earned their highest NCAA Championship score with a 197.8250 ahead of last year's champion UCLA Bruins, who were in third with a 197.5375. The Denver Pioneers concluded their season with a fourth-place finish, their best ever final ranking in program history, with a 197.0000.

After placing in the top two in their respective semifinals, UCLA, LSU, Oklahoma, and Denver have qualified to the first Four on the Floor NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championship final. In semifinal I, UCLA finished in first with a 197.6750, and LSU finished in second with a 197.5125. In semifinal II, Oklahoma won with a 197.8500 while Denver came in second with a 197.0375.

The 2019 Metroplex Challenge saw Oklahoma take another Metroplex Challenge title on the NCAA side, while JPAC's Jacey Vore put up the top all-around score of all the level 10 gymnasts with a big 38.575. But there are routines from all over the meet that are too good to not watch again.

While conference championship weekend may have been light on the upsets, it gave us something we wanted just as much: amazing gymnastics. Some of the perennial powerhouses are looking sharper than ever as their athletes gear up for Regionals and the NCAA championships.

Oklahoma hit its fourth score of 198 or better after topping West Virginia 198.025 to 195.750. It was a much better performance for the Sooners on balance beam with a 49.600 — the best team total for OU during the meet. 

The sixth week of NCAA competition kicks off this Friday night as youthful Kentucky takes on a Georgia team that is getting stronger each week. There's also a Big Ten showdown slated tomorrow, as Minnesota and Illinois face off. Then conference foes Nebraska and Iowa meet in a Saturday dual contest, while Denver plays host to West Virginia and George Washington at the 2018 Winterfest Classic, which you can watch right here on FloGymnastics. 

After a huge week of gymnastics that saw Peng-Peng Lee score a perfect 10 and OU and LSU reach ridiculously high scores, the NCAA has another show-stopping weekend on hand. Here are the top routines we're following this week in college gymnastics.

The third week of the NCAA season kicks off on Friday with a heavy schedule as Denver and Boise State clash in a quad meet. Meanwhile, SEC and Pac-12 action continues with a young Kentucky squad taking on an experienced Florida team, and Oregon State travels to Utah. On Saturday the action continues as Arizona State meets Stanford in a battle of two programs in the midst of rebuilding after a disappointing 2017 season.

The second week of the NCAA season kicks off on Friday night with a big matchup between LSU and Florida. Big Ten rivals Michigan and Ohio State clash on Saturday, and then it’s a Pac-12 showdown as Stanford, Utah, UCLA, and Washington take to the floor in the Elevate the Stage meet in Reno.
