USAG Names 2021 Junior Pan American Games Women's Artistic Team
USA Gymnastics today announced the U.S. women’s artistic team for the upcoming 2021 Junior Pan American Games.
INDIANAPOLIS, November 17, 2021 – USA Gymnastics today announced the U.S. women’s artistic team for the upcoming 2021 Junior Pan American Games. The inaugural event will be held November 25-December 5 in Cali, Colombia. The below gymnasts were named based on their performances at the November Junior National Team camp in Indianapolis.
- Kailin Chio, Las Vegas, Nev./Gymcats Gymnastics
- Madray Johnson, Dallas, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics
- Katelyn Jong, Allen, Texas/Metroplex Gymnastics
- Tiana Sumanasekera, Pleasanton, Calif./West Valley Gymnastics
Levi Jung-Ruivivar of Maple Grove, Minn./Twin City Twisters was selected as the non-traveling replacement athlete.
Women’s artistic gymnasts will compete for team, all-around and individual event titles, and the top all-around finisher will automatically qualify by name to the 2023 Senior Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile. U.S. athletes will also compete in men’s artistic, rhythmic and trampoline gymnastics at the Junior Pan American Games.
