Blakely Claims 2021 American Classic Senior All-Around Title

INDIANAPOLIS, April 24, 2021 – Skye Blakely of Frisco, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics notched a 55.350 to edge runner up Leanne Wong of Overland Park, Kan./Great American Gymnastics Express (54.450) for the 2021 American Classic senior all-around title Saturday at The Gymnastics Company in Indianapolis. Karis German of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre took third with a 53.250.
Eight gymnasts eclipsed the 52.000-point qualifying score for the 2021 U.S. Gymnastics Championships slated for June 3-6 in Fort Worth, Texas: Blakely; Kara Eaker of Grain Valley, Mo./Great American Gymnastics Express; Addison Fatta of Wrightsville, Pa./Prestige Gymnastics; German; Kaylen Morgan of Huntersville, N.C./Everest Gymnastics; Elle Mueller of Ham Lake, Minn./Twin City Twisters; Faith Torrez of Bristol, Wis./Legacy Elite Gymnastics; and Wong.

Wong claimed the top spot on vault with a 14.400. Sunisa Lee of St. Paul, Minn./Midwest Gymnastics Center posted high scores on uneven bars (15.200) and balance beam (14.550), and German finished with a competition high 13.450 on floor exercise.
